Botox Cosmetic is the number 1 recognized brand of neuromodulating agents used today. It has the ability to soften fine lines and wrinkles created by the muscle below. By relaxing the wrinkle creating muscle, patients see an overall improvement in the smoothness and tone of their skin. Botox, correctly placed by our Aesthetic Nurse Injector can create a natural and subtle look. If significant changes are desired, Botox Cosmetics can also be used to reshape the jawline, lift the eyebrows, give the eyes a more open appearance as well as assist with facial asymmetry.
Why Get Botox Treatments?
BOTOX Cosmetic contains onabotulinum toxin A, which upon injection relaxes the muscles underneath the skin. By relaxing the muscle, the face looks smooth, giving you a more refreshed and youthful appearance. Botox Cosmetic begins to take effect 2-3 days after injection and fully within 2 weeks time. Most patients see a lasting effect of 3-4 months.
Botox can also be used for wellness purposes, such as migraines, chronic pain, hyperhidrosis, and more.

What to Expect
At Your Appointment
Rest assured that questions and concerns will be answered before the treatment to ensure your desired treatment results are understood. The injection itself is a very mild pinch, similar to a bug bite. The needle is very fine to avoid any pain, bruising, or swelling. The injection is directed into the muscle, under the skin. The length of the treatment will vary based on the size and number of the target areas. The average Botox treatment takes anywhere from 15-25 minutes.
What to Expect
After Your Appointment
After your treatment, it is important to avoid certain activities for the first 4 hours. You must not lay down, or bend your head for a sustained period of time. Do not touch or rub the treatment area to avoid moving the Botox and affecting other muscles. In rare cases, some people report getting headaches after a Botox injection.
The best way to ensure you are completely satisfied with your treatment is to return for a follow up in 2 weeks time. If there are any areas that you feel require additional treatment they can be touched up at that time. Many patients book their first 3 appointments exactly 3 months apart to ensure continuous results.
